EMERGENCY SITUATIONS:
- Severe Bleeding That Won’t Stop: Seek immediate emergency care if bleeding cannot be controlled with direct pressure.
- Wounds to the Face or Sensitive Areas: Serious injuries involving the face, eyes, neck, or other sensitive areas may require specialized medical attention.
- Signs of Infection: Increasing redness, swelling, warmth, pus drainage, or fever may indicate an infection that needs prompt evaluation.
- Severe Pain: Intense or worsening pain that is not relieved with basic care should be evaluated immediately.
- Loss of Function in a Limb: Difficulty moving your fingers, toes, hand, foot, or entire limb may indicate nerve, tendon, or muscle damage.
- Large Gaping Wounds: Wounds larger than ½ inch or those with widely separated edges may require advanced wound repair.
- Embedded Foreign Objects: Do not attempt to remove deeply embedded objects. Seek immediate medical attention.
